How are we active?
Our priority is to support local associations which have good experience and an excellent knowledge of the field reality and needs.
Our role is to collect funds all around the world, to distribute them and, thanks to our personal presence in the region, to make sure that they will be used purposefully.
Ombres Chinoises does not perceive any commission payments for that. We are all dynamic volunteers and we really want to help these children.
The projects we support are all related to childhood, with a special focus on education and health. Read more about us here.
The children that do not exist
Education difficulties are present throughout many areas of South-East Asia. The widespread poverty among migrant families, but not only, prevents children from going to school. Without instruction, they must start their working lives at a very young age.
Often lacking proper documents or identity papers, those children do not meet all bureaucratic criteria for free access to the public instruction.
As a consequence, many children remain undeclared and are forced to live in the obscurity. Officially those children do not exist. We have thus decided to create this association to help them to get a better future.
