Chinese New Year 2008
Sunday, February 10th 2008, Ombres Cihnoises was present at the meeting of the Geneva Chinese Community in Chêne-Bougeries.
Together with two hundreds people we celebrated the beginning of the “Year of the Rat” in a very convivial atmosphere, tasting food specialities and watching traditional arts. According to the Chinese horoscope this year is expected to deliver richness and abundance.
The event was a great opportunity to make new contacts and to present the activities of Ombres Chinoises.
Saturday Market in Bellinzona, 22nd December 2007
Ombres Chinoises was present with a stand at the market of Bellinzona on the 22nd of December 2007. Several peoples could get information about the support project to Jiaxin and bought the greeting cards by Valeski and the cakes cooked by the volunteers.
Saturday market in Bellinzona, 13th and 20th January 2007
The first markets of Ombres chinoises have been successful. The delicious cakes done by Piera, Nerina, Monica, Armida and Mario have attracted a lot of Bellinzona citizen. Many praises have been expressed to our photographer Valeski, personally present, whom cards (see our store) have been sold well.
We are grateful to all visitors and collaborators for coming and animating our stand.
The entire profits of these sales represented an important step in giving a better future for the poor children in Kunming.
